The drive to the Big Sur includes Ventura (bas Rutten has a club there), Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo (also saw a sign for Santa Claus)
Santa Barbara has beautiful sandy beaches and huge palm trees. Lots of $$$$$ in this town...fabulous homes built on cliffs, huge wine region here.
San Luis Obispo is an old mission town in the hills overlooking the Pacific ocean, the Hearst Castle is here. We stopped here for the night as the Big Sur starts here so we will wake in the morning and start the trip, which is 150 miles long

Horses and cattle are every where here, i think they are race or thoroughbreds.....there are hundreds of horses. Vineyards farther than the eye can see
